Merchandise, with Superior Grown’s beautiful logo design printed on items, is a good way to bring awareness to our local food and farmers and the great food
and products they provide. The selling of merchandise is also a good way to raise funds, helping to continue the Superior Grown work and bring money to help
business establishments strengthen their operation.

By purchasing Superior Grown merchandise, the project will
retain a percent of profit that will go towards advertising
or other programs decided by the Superior Grown steering
committee. Additionally, if retail businesses choose to sell
merchandise, whether a farmers market, restaurant committed
to using local foods, or other, they will retain a larger
percent of the profit that can be used in a way that helps
promote and strengthen the regional food system.
Examples include but are not limited to: advertising for
your farmers market, developing more sustainable farming
practices, fundraising for a permanent market structure, or
making a banner with the Superior Grown logo. If you are a

Marketing Merchandise
Currently, Superior Grown has developed a few items to be used by farmers and food businesses as marketing tools, helping to promote and identify their products as ‘local’ or ‘Superior Grown’.
Superior Grown Produce Sticker: Price pending
The Superior Grown produce sticker is a design that was voted on at a farmer–food business gathering in January 2004, called ‘Nurturing the Seed: The Superior Grown Project’. Together, farmers, farming organizations,
retail businesses, and interested citizens chose this design to accompany local products into markets. When consumers see the Superior Grown sticker, they will know that it is fresh, quality food they will be eating!

Superior Grown Banner: $100.00
The banner is a 2 x 5 foot non-glossy item that can be used indoors and out. The layout consists of the logo design and name Superior Grown on the left hand side with the wording: At the name of business on the right hand side (example: At the Duluth Farmers’ Market).
Additional business information can be added to individual banners at the added expense of no more than $45 per banner.
